About Richard...

My mission is to provide a relaxed photo experience for my subjects so that the images don't show just people, but personalities. I've been photographing people on location for more than 14 years now, and work with a variety of formats: 25mm, 4x5-- film and digital.

My photos have appeared in numerous annual reports, brochures for manufacturers and advertisements. A partial list would include:

My favorite ongoing project is with a NW school district, photographing a select group of inspirational teachers and students who are being recognized for going beyond what is expected of them. This project is always very emotional and inspirational for me, and is always a thrill to witness. I'm lucky enough that I get to photograph it as well.
